So it’s May the 4th. What’s so special about it? Well, of course. It is also the well-known Star Wars Day celebrated all around the world. I mean, why shouldn’t it be with such a witty pun like that?! You know, “May the fourth be with you!”
I love how there is pretty much a day for anything you can possibly imagine. I’m sure I will talk more about some other weird days in the future, but for today, let’s not make the force angry. Let’s focus on May the 4th.
You see, I love a good ad and a well thought marketing campaign. I mean, I hate watching ads on TV when they interfere with my favourite show… But ads on their own, well, there are so many things to love! They are short and concise; and they can be so creative! For those who disagree, try watching some of the funny Thai ads on YouTube and tell me that you didn’t laugh. Or at least giggle. Or be amused.
Anyway, today being May the 4th, I thought I’d focus on a particular good marketing campaign that uses the Star Wars Day to market and advertise their products. Mind you, there are heaps of other stupid May the 4th ads that made me cringe as the message seemed forceful or just plain lame. But not this one.
