Dear MSN,

Remember when we used to spend so much time with each other? You were my sidekick.

We had so many memories together. In high school, we used to talk about being best friends for life without knowing what it meant. In uni, you helped me to find myself and to create long lasting connections with those around me. When I started working, you made the days bearable. And remember when I started talking to this guy that ended up being my husband? It was you who helped make those conversations flow so easily. We were friends and we became good friends, thanks to you. Just to let you know, we are now best friends for life. Thank you for being there at the beginning of it all.

Today, I would like to thank you for making me the person that I am today. You and your older sister ICQ have brought out the best in me; took away my shy cowardice nature and gave me a new courage to speak up.

Without you, MSN, I would never have made the many friends that I have now. Without you, I would’ve been too shy to share my stories to others around me, because openly talking to people could be a little daunting at times. Without you, most people would not find out about the real me. So thank you.

Thank you for being the communication vessel for many other introverts or shy extroverts (this is me!) out there. It has been really nice knowing you. I’m sorry that I have abandoned you in the past few years.

Rest in peace MSN.

Love,
Julie
